Maruti Suzuki India announced on Wednesday that its board has approved an investment of Rs 7,410 crore to establish a third manufacturing plant at Kharkhoda, Haryana, with a production capacity of up to 2.5 lakh vehicles annually.
The company stated in a regulatory filing that the existing plant at Kharkhoda has a capacity of 2.5 lakh units per year, and an additional plant with a similar capacity is currently under construction.
During its meeting on Wednesday, the board approved the setup of the third plant, further enhancing Maruti Suzuki's production capacity at the location.
